01/15/2005 Chuck continues to immerse himself in community charitable activities. He regularly donates his own time and money, and actively solicits donations, to benefit the local Boy Scout pack. His son and he are active members.
Chuck solicits donations for the coming Scouts banquet. Note the helmet "money plate" and orange jacket (photo credit unknown) Additionally, he coordinated and financed programs to donate over 100 Saab, and other automobile-related baseball caps under the “Kaps for Kids” program during 2003 and 2004. The nationally recognized Kaps for Kids program provides caps to protect the heads of childhood cancer victims who have undergone treatment for their illnesses. Children at both the Hershey Medical Center (Hershey, PA), and the Muhlenberg Medical Center (Bethlehem, PA) benefited from Chuck’s charitable initiatives. All donations were made in the name of the Vintage Saab Racing Group to the centers’ Children's Oncology departments. Also of note was his vintage racecar display at the West Reading (PA) Hospital’s 2003 awareness drive that was coordinated with a national “Walk for Obesity” program. Chuck provided two of his exquisitely prepared vintage cars for children to sit in for photo opportunities. Home |
